PALAK KI DABDI

INGREDIENTS
 
  • Spinach ( Palak ) : 2 Bunch
  • Wheat / Gram Flour : 1/2 Cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 Tbps
  • Jakhiya : 1 Tbps
  • Cumin Seeds : 1/2 Tbps
  • Onions : 1
  • Red Chilly Powder : As Per Taste
  • Asafoetida (Hing) : 2 pinch
  • Rice Flour : 3 – 4 Tbps
  • Salt : As Per Taste
  • Oil : 15-20 Ml

COOKING TIME

 

  • Total Time : 30 – 45 mins
  • Preparation Time : 10 – 15 mins
  • Cooking Time : 25 – 35 mins
  • Servings : 4

COOKING PROCESS

  • Wash Spinach ( Pala ) & Chop them finely.
  • Add the spinach in a pot with boiling water & let it cook for 4 – 5 mins & once done, let it cool off.
  • Grind the boiled spinach leaves to puree.
  • Heat Oil in the Pot, add hing, jakhiya, cumin seeds, diced onions.
  • Once the above turns golden brown, add ginger garlic paste & stir for 2 – 3 mins.
  • Now add diced tomatoes and again stir for for mins.
  • Add the spinach puree to the above mixture & keep stirring it. Add the Turmeric, red chilly & rice flour.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water to the above mix & let it cook for 10 – 15 mins.
  • Your Palak ki Dabdi or Kaafa is ready to be served.
